Oma Gifford Hodges and Bill Hodges

Oma and Bill married in September of 1964 after graduating from college in June. They settled in Great Falls, VA on a small horse farm.

Bill entered the typographical business and Oma taught school. Three children rapidly arrived, Julie (1966), Debbie (1967), and Brent (1969) and changed their life style. Bill, with a partner, started a printing company which quickly became his main occupation. Oma stayed home with the children and became involved with Arabian horses, which became a lifetime occupation for her. Oma and Bill moved to a horse farm in Sandy Spring, MD, living there for 20 years making Bill closer to work and giving Oma more room for horses.

The three children all married in the summer of 1997 and have given Oma and Bill 11 grandchildren-all currently 12 and under.

Oma and Bill now reside on Kent Island in a house on the Chesapeake Bay and in Murrells Inlet, SC on a golf course. Both have retired and have become avid golfers and are enjoying life.
