Bill Hodges


William “Bill” Harold Hodges, age 70, died peacefully Sunday, January 15, 2012 at his residence in Murrells Inlet. Mr. Hodges was a lifelong resident of the Washington, DC area, most recently living in Stevensville, MD.
Mr. Hodges attended Belin Memorial United Methodist Church. A graduate of George Washington University, Mr. Hodges was a successful business owner, an avid golfer, horseback rider and fisherman, and he enjoyed coaching children in the youth leagues. Most importantly he was a dedicated husband and a wonderful father and grandfather. The lifelong friends he had made were very important to him and he treasured these relationships. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Oma Gifford Hodges; daughters, Julie Hodges Gouveia and her husband Colin, PA; Debbie Hodges and her husband Bill Rustico, NJ; son, Brent Hodges and his wife Maureen; VA; grandchildren, Alison Gouveia; Henry Hodges; Anna Gouveia; Maggie Rustico; John Hodges; Noelle Rustico; Jill Hodges; Will Gouveia; Owen Hodges; Ann Hodges; Tori Rustico; brothers, Michael Hodges, FL; Tony Hodges, CA.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, January 22, 2012 at Belin Memorial United Methodist Church in Murrells Inlet, SC.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in Mr. Hodges’ name to the International Myeloma Foundation, 12650 Riverside Dr. S-206, North Hollywood, CA 91607.
